Tenuta Santa Caterina was born as an old farmhouse, in typical Tuscan style, surrounded by green olive trees and surrounded by vineyards and a large citrus garden. A strategic position just a few minutes from Portoferraio, from the most beautiful beaches of the island and not far from the prestigious Napoleonic residence of San Martino, which hosted the emperor Bonaparte during his exile on Elba Island.
The estate takes its name from the nearby church of Santa Caterina dello Scotto, built in honor of the martyr in 1851 and an ancient place of religious devotion particularly loved by the inhabitants of the area. It is said that it was built by Arcangelo Lambardi, a well-known owner of the area, to pay homage to his wife Caterina, who died prematurely. An act of love that makes the chapel environment even more intimate and suggestive.
Tenuta Santa Caterina combines the beauty of the sea on the Elba Island with the charm of the Tuscan countryside and it will give you a holiday of tranquility and refined hospitality!
